Be Still

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10

 The analogy that came to me was of when we are are at a fireworks show we are still (standing or sitting) and watching for the bursts of lights to light up the dark sky before us. We know it is going to be beautiful, colorful lights against the darkness. And so we wait in eager anticipation. We don’t want to miss it! If we turn to the right, left or look back we miss it. If we become distracted we will miss it. And so we sit still…..waiting…..watching. I feel the LORD is saying Be Still~ I AM going to show out~ you will love it and don’t want to miss it! I will bring bright, beautiful color to those dark places. And when I bring light it is always good!
