Father GOD, I thank You for how You are working in my life and in the lives of my family and friends. We need You more and more everyday! Therefore, I come before You today asking You to fill us with the knowledge of Your will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding so that we may live a life worthy of the LORD, pleasing You in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of GOD, being strengthened with all power according to Your glorious might so that we may have great endurance and patience, joyfully giving thanks to You Father, because You have qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Your Kingdom of Light.
Please help us to continue in our faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel.
May we be encouraged in heart and united in love so we may have the full riches of complete understanding so we may know the mystery of GOD, even Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Let us continue to live in Christ, rooted and built up in Him and always be overflowing with thankfulness.
Guard us from hollow and deceptive philosophy which does not depend on Christ. May we be diligent to put to death whatever belongs to our earthly nature as we put on the new self which is being renewed in knowledge into the image of Christ.
May we ever be mindful to set our hearts on things above where Christ is and to have our minds set on things above rather than on earthly things.
As GOD’S chosen people holy and dearly loved may we clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Help us to bear with one another and forgive all grievances we have against others. May we forgive as You O LORD have forgiven us. Over all these virtues may we put on love which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts. Let the word of Christ dwell in us richly as we teach and admonish each other with wisdom and as we sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude always to GOD.
Help us to be diligent to devote ourselves to prayer being watchful and thankful. May we be wise in how we act towards outsiders, so we make the most of every opportunity. May our conversation be full of grace, seasoned with salt so we know how to answer everyone. May Your grace be with us all.
