Red Light Invitation

Red lights! We all cross paths with them frequently. They all seem to catch us when we are in a hurry! But we can all agree red lights serve a purpose, to help with the flow of traffic. There have probably been occasions we were thankful a light turned red~ so our light would turn green and we could continue on our journey.

But….. what if our view of red lights changed? What if instead of an intrusion of our hurried lives they became an invitation? What if instead of focusing on what we can’t do (move forward) we focused on the opportunity the red light affords?

What if we viewed red lights as invitations to pray for the people, businesses, schools or government buildings near the light? What if we considered it a great opportunity to ask the LORD to bless those people and places? 

While I do understand times are dark in many places and this world is filled with trouble, JESUS never said for us to come into agreement with what the enemy was doing. He said He came to give Life. Let’s change how we view red lights and begin to pray! As we begin to pray for blessings of salvation, peace, hope, joy, protection, etc., we asking for Life, JESUS, to begin to come to the dead places in our city! We can do something and a good place to begin is with prayer for our city! Our prayers are important!
