Bring It To Jesus

Writing has been something I’ve enjoyed for many years but mostly it’s been just for classes I would teach or in my journals for future generations to read. Over a few years I’ve written a few things and shared them in this forum. This is always hard because you never know if what you write is what someone needs at that time. Lately I’ve been considering writing more but just felt inadequate.

But then….. the Lord led me to John 6:5-13. This is one of the accounts where Jesus fed thousands (5,000 men) with a few loaves of bread and some fish. A child’s lunch fed five thousand plus people! As I thought about that I saw it— it really doesn’t matter how inadequate I am. What matters is will I bring to Jesus what I have and allow Him to do with it as He wills?

The truth is we all feel inadequate from time to time. We all have something we’d like to do but feel we are lacking proper skills, adequate resources, enough time or some other form of lack. If we had everything needed we probably, considering past examples of human nature, would not invite God into the situation.

So, I’ve decided I’m going to make the effort to write more. That, after all, is all God wants me to do— bring Him what I have so He can do with it what He will.

What have you been sensing God wants YOU to do but your list of excuses seem longer than your talents? Won’t you join me— bring God what you have? No matter what happens the pleasure of pleasing the Father will be so worth all the effort!
